Pubs
Herberton has the two oldest licensed premises on the Tablelands – the
Australian, rebuilt in 1950s style – and the Royal where a second storey
was added in 1913 and more recently a beer garden with a large fireplace. Drop
in for a cool one or stay a little longer for a meal.
Post Office, Eftpos, Supermarket, Real Estate
The post office is located in the centre of the main street shopping precinct
and carries a good range of souvenirs as does the newsagency just nearby.
The newsagency also has internet available. The supermarket and the caravan
park offer eftpos services. If you would like to consider becoming a new
resident, the real estate office is just over the road from the post office.
Churches
If you stay for a weekend, you may like to attend a church service at one
of the historic churches, all built before the 20th Century. They are worth
a visit in their own right.
